Schedule: Tuesday, January 20, 2026, through June 2026 (weather permitting)

Contra Costa County - Caltrans District 4 has scheduled emergency repair work on southbound Interstate 680 (I-680) in the City of Danville, requiring a temporary closure of the El Cerro Boulevard on-ramp to southbound I-680.

This work is necessary to address roadway and soundwall conditions that require immediate attention to maintain safety. Construction activities will include emergency roadway repairs, soundwall repairs, and related work.

  • Location: El Cerro Boulevard on-ramp to southbound I-680
  • Date: Tuesday night, January 20, 2026, (Tentative Closure 1-21-2026)
  • Time: 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM
  • Please Note: One night is anticipated; up to two nights if necessary

Construction Schedule

Emergency repair work is expected to continue through June 2026, weather permitting.

  • Day Work: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Night Work (as needed): 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM
