Rep. Jackson Celebrates Final House Passage of FY26 NDAA

WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Ronny Jackson (TX-13) celebrated final House passage of the Fiscal Year 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (FY26 NDAA). The bill is expected to soon be passed by the Senate and signed into law by President Donald J. Trump. Rep. Section 863: Authorizes Special Operations Command Urgent Innovative Technologies and Capabilities Initiative

As Chairman of the Intelligence and Special Operations Subcommittee, this was Rep. Ronny Jackson's leading initiative to support our nation's Special Operations Forces. Aligned with President Trump and Secretary Hegseth's push to improve defense acquisition, this 5-year pilot program gives U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) the authority to rapidly acquire and field emerging technologies. Backed by an additional $100 million in President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill, it ensures our warfighters get the right tools quickly, right when they need them.

Section 113: Authorization to Initiate Early Production of Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft

This provision speeds up delivery of the MV-75 Future Long Range Assault Aircraft by allowing the Army Secretary to enter early procurement contracts ahead of full-rate production. This aligns with the accelerated timeline supported by the Army, helping to stabilize and retain the specialized workforce and industrial base at Bell's Amarillo facility.

Section 224: Establishment of National Security and Defense Artificial Intelligence Institute

This institute will drive key defense technologies, workforce development, and advanced AI applications to strengthen America's security and expand collaboration between the Department of War, academic institutions, and the defense industry. The provision allows the institute to be located at a senior military college, making Texas A&M University a strong contender to host it.

Statement of Managers Report: Plan to Modernize Nuclear Security Enterprise

This provision strengthens America's nuclear deterrent by accelerating key infrastructure projects that allow the National Nuclear Security Administration to modernize assembly and disassembly operations at the Pantex Plant in Amarillo. It also requires that this work move in tandem with the modernization of high-explosives capabilities, including continued construction of the High Explosives Synthesis Formulation and Production facility to support updated weapons production needs.
