Sept. 9, 2025 - Northeastern Colorado - Weekend closure needed for long-term road improvements
Boulder County - The south intersection will be closed at Colorado Highway 7 (Arapahoe Avenue) and 48th Street from 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, through 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15, for milling and paving work. Access to South 48th Street will be closed, with a detour provided to maintain access. This configuration will remain in place for the duration of the weekend.
Crews will perform reclamation work, removing the existing asphalt and reconditioning base materials to create a stronger foundation, followed by a new asphalt overlay to improve smoothness and safety for drivers. This work is part of an ongoing project to improve roadway conditions and extend pavement life. Please plan ahead and use caution near the work zone.
