Statement by Belarus MFA Press Service on bus incident in Russia's Bryansk Region

We strongly condemn the attack on a civilian bus carrying Belarusian citizens, including children, in the Bryansk Region of the Russian Federation. We regard this as yet another act of terrorism against the civilian population. We demand comprehensive explanations from the Ukrainian side.

In connection with this tragic incident, we consider it important to note the following.

We draw attention to the need for strict adherence to the procedures for organising the departure of groups of citizens, particularly children, for health and leisure purposes to foreign countries.

We also emphasise the imperative of preventing citizens from travelling to conflict zones, areas of hostilities and adjacent regions.
