As e-bikes, e-scooters, and other electronic mobility devices continue to grow in their popularity, concerns over the safety of the operators and the potential conflicts with other motor vehicles and pedestrians has heightened. During a recent Town Hall meeting held on the topic of traffic safety, several residents expressed concerns about e-bikes (and other electronic mobility devices) being ridden in the community with some expressing a desire for more restrictions regarding their use.
The La Grange Village Board intends to discuss policy options regarding the regulation of e-bikes, e-scooters, and electronic mobility devices during its October 13, 2025 meeting. Those that are interested in the topic are encouraged to attend. Comments can be submitted to [email protected].
