Nominations are open for the City of Richardson's 2026 Community Revitalization Awards, which recognize residential and commercial property owners who have made significant improvements to their properties. Nominations are due by 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4.
Eligible projects may include:
Significant improvements to a property or structure
Extensive exterior refurbishment
Redevelopment of a property, including a teardown and rebuild
Infill or new development on a vacant parcel in an older neighborhood or district
Anyone may submit a nomination, including the property owner.
The Richardson City Council created the Community Revitalization Awards in 1994 to recognize property improvements and redevelopment throughout the community. Since the program began, more than 350 properties have been recognized.
