Participation in the Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the High-level meeting on the Global Development Initiative

On September 25, 2026 in the margins of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated and addressed the High-level meeting on the Global Development Initiative (GDI).

Minister Muhriddin reaffirmed Tajikistan's commitment to the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable development goals, recognizing it as the blueprint for accelerating the decade of action and delivery for sustainable development, leaving no one behind.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan noted that contemporary threats and challenges hinder progress toward sustainable development. He also emphasized the importance of aligning national strategies with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), boosting investment in social protection, food security, renewable energy, and digital transformation, and leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance development efforts.
