The City of Reno will host its annual Senior Resource Fair on Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Neil Road Recreation Center from 1 to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The Senior Resource Fair will offer free blood pressure checks, fraud prevention services, and other services available to seniors in the community.
"We're so proud to offer a convenient one-stop shop for our senior residents, helping them connect with vital services available in our area," said Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve. "I encourage seniors in our community to take advantage of this incredible opportunity provided by the City."
Various local organizations and groups will be in attendance, including the Reno Fire Department, Washoe County Senior Services, REMSA, Reno Food Systems, and more. Community Health Alliance will also be providing flu vaccinations at no cost to seniors in attendance.
The resource fair is part of the Reno EngAGED program, established via American Rescue Plan Act funding. For more information about the event and other opportunities for seniors, visit the City's Senior page.
