ZYGO SHOWCASES ADVANCED 3D OPTICAL METROLOGY SOLUTIONS AT OPTATEC 2026

(Middlefield, CT, USA - April 2026) Zygo™, a business unit of AMETEK, Inc. (NYSE: AME), is pleased to announce its participation at Optatec 2026, taking place from 5-7 May 2026 in Frankfurt, Germany. Visitors can meet Zygo, in Hall 3.0, Booth 502, where the company will showcase its latest non-contact 3D optical metrology solutions for precision optical manufacturing and inspection.

With Optatec's strong focus on industrial optics, optomechanics, and optoelectronics, the event provides an ideal platform for Zygo to demonstrate its industry-leading capabilities in surface form and surface texture measurement. In the booth, Zygo will present the Nexview™ NX2 3D optical profiler, the Qualifire™ 1.2 laser interferometer, and the Flatness/Asphere Tester, highlighting solutions for both laboratory and production environments.

Peter Kuschnir, European Sales Manager at Zygo, comments:

"At Optatec this year, we are focusing on metrology solutions that enable high-precision measurement while supporting efficient, production-level throughput. The systems we are showcasing demonstrate how Zygo helps optical manufacturers achieve nanometer-level accuracy, repeatability, and confidence across a wide range of applications - from surface texture to flatness and aspherical form."

The NX2 Optical Profiler is designed for fast, flexible, and non-contact surface measurement using Coherence Scanning Interferometry (CSI). It delivers high-resolution 3D surface data at the nanometer scale and is well suited for capturing detailed surface topography and fine features across a variety of optical and precision-engineered components. Its robust design supports use in both laboratory and production environments where measurement speed and repeatability are critical.

The Qualifire 1.2 laser interferometer provides a compact and versatile solution for high-precision surface form measurement. Building on Zygo's proven interferometry expertise, Qualifire 1.2 enables reliable and repeatable measurement of flat and spherical optics, with enhanced usability and artifact reduction technologies to support demanding industrial workflows.

For applications requiring production-level flatness and asphere testing, Zygo will also showcase its Flatness/Asphere Tester. Designed to support a Verifire™ interferometer in a downward-looking orientation, the system offers fast and efficient measurement of flat and aspherical parts, including native stitching workflows in Zygo's Mx™ software. With vibration isolation, encoded motion stages, and optional CGH capability for asphere testing, the Flatness/Asphere Tester provides a scalable solution for high-throughput optical inspection.

Peter Kuschnir concludes:

"Anyone attending Optatec who is involved in the manufacturing or inspection of precision optical components should visit Zygo's booth. With over 50 years of leadership in industrial optical metrology, Zygo continues to focus on enabling faster measurements, higher accuracy, and improved manufacturing outcomes - even in challenging production environments."
