Welcome Home, Bulldogs: Homecoming 2026

There is a special kind of warmth that greets you when you come home. At Bowie State University's Homecoming 2026, it arrived on a crisp, golden autumn day, carried in with hugs between old classmates, cheers from the stands and the unmistakable sound of Bulldog pride echoing across campus. Approximately, 7,000 Homecoming participants filled the campus with energy and excitement.

Homecoming Week 2026 opened on a soulful note with the Gospel Choir Concert, headlined by award-winning artists Anthony Brown and Group Therapy and Maurette Brown Clark. The week continued with the elegance of the Royal Court Coronation where Chiamaka Ekekwe and Ryan Lynch where crowned, the excitement of the Greek Step Show, where Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Became reigning champs and the electric energy of the Homecoming Concert featuring Fetty Wap. Each event built anticipation for game day, when students, faculty, staff, alumni, families and friends came together as one Bulldog Nation.

On the big day, the Homecoming Parade filled the route with color, music and joy. WUSA9 anchor Wisdom Martin led the way as grand marshal, matching the crowd's energy at every turn, and Governor Wes Moore joined the celebration as a special guest and joined President Aminta H. Breaux at the grandstand to cheer on parade participants. The Symphony of Soul kept spirits high from start to finish.

At Bulldog Stadium, the excitement built to a thrilling finish as the Bulldogs secured a 16-13 victory over top ranked Johnson C. Smith University before a sold-out, electrified crowd. The marching band, cheerleaders and student organizations turned every quarter into a celebration, and fans left the stands with one more memory to cherish.

The weekend came full circle at the Alumni Brunch, where Golden Graduates and alumni from across the decades reconnected, swapped stories and marveled at how much the campus has grown, all framed by the brilliant colors of fall. Their reflections were a reminder that the Bowie State experience does not end at graduation; it becomes part of who you are.

For one perfect fall weekend, generations of Bulldogs came home to the place that shaped them and felt the love that surrounds this community. That is what it means to be Bowie Bold.
