LONDON - March 10, 2026 - Greenberg Traurig, LLP's London office advised Puma Property Finance on its strategic joint venture with KKR to expand U.K. living sector lending.
The agreement will provide up to £500 million in senior development and stabilisation loans to fund best-in-class residential, build-to-rent, and student accommodation schemes, providing scaled access to capital in undersupplied U.K. housing markets.
The joint venture combines Puma's established origination platform and track record in U.K. real estate lending with KKR's scale, institutional structuring capabilities, and global credit expertise. The platform will be supported by a senior credit facility provided by a major international bank.
The team was delighted to have assisted Puma on this venture and was led by Steven Cowins, partner in Greenberg Traurig's London Private Equity Real Estate team, and supported by Clive Jones and Matthew Birchall, partners in the London Private Equity Real Estate Tax team, Henry Taylor, senior associate, and Hannah Owen, trainee solicitor, in the Private Equity Real Estate team.
