DALLAS - At William Lipscomb Elementary School, first graders are expanding their world by learning French through immersive, hands-on lessons. Led by a teacher with international experience, students explore language and culture through music, movement, and interactive activities that make learning fun and memorable. The class is helping young learners build confidence while gaining a deeper appreciation for cultures beyond their own.

Dallas ISD budget meeting
The district continues its series of budget meetings to discuss the planning process for the 2026-2027 school year, with a virtual meeting at 6 p.m., tonight, May 13. Community members are encouraged to attend to learn more about priorities, funding decisions, and how resources are allocated across campuses. The meetings also provide an opportunity for families and stakeholders to ask questions and share feedback.
