Barnes & Noble Adds a New Store in Tucson, AZ09/30/2026

Author Kathleen Glasgow to Host Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and Book Signing at the Grand Opening at 9AM on Wednesday, October 7^th, 2026

Tucson, AZ - September 30^th, 2026 -Barnes & Noble is pleased to announce the opening of its new Tucson, AZ bookstore on Wednesday, October 7^th. The bookseller has three stores in the city, with its two anchor bookstores in Westside and in Eastside, together with the smaller mall store inside Tucson Mall. The new store now establishes a major presence in the Oracle Wetmore Shopping Center.

The new Barnes & Noble is over 16,000 square feet in size, allowing a comprehensive presentation of books, alongside the toys, games, vinyl, DVDs, magazines, greeting cards, stationery and so much more expected of the bookseller. The store also benefits from a Barnes & Noble Café. The new Tucson, AZ Barnes & Noble is located in Oracle Wetmore Shopping Center, 4380 N Oracle Rd, Suite 150, in the former Joann Fabrics space, next to World Market.

Tucson Barnes & Noble bookstore will officially open to the public at 9AM Mountain on Wednesday the 7^th, with local author Kathleen Glasgow cutting the ribbon and signing copies of her acclaimed book, The Glass Girl. Costume Character Maisy will also join the festivities and host special story time events over the weekend.

The new Tucson Barnes & Noble is one of 2 stores to open on October 7^th, joining San Marcos, CA. Barnes & Noble now boasts over 725 bookstores, having been below 600 stores as recently as 2023. The design of the Tucson store showcases the ambition of Barnes & Noble to create exceptional local bookstores that marry the best traditions of independent bookselling with the resources of the historic chain.

Barnes & Noble Premium and Rewards Members will earn double stamps on all purchases made between October 7^th and 11^th. Customers who are not yet Members are encouraged to sign up and start earning stamps and rewards right away.

Everyone who visits the new Tucson Barnes & Noble during the grand opening will have access to exclusive deals, like $50 off any NOOK device. Customers can also save 40% on all DVD, Blu-ray, and 4k Ultra HD movies.
