The Cadillac Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at its regularly scheduled meeting of 6:00pm on Monday, November 24th, 2025, for the receipt of comment on a special land use permit application filed by Nicholas Lietaert to allow for the short-term rental of a residential unit within the building at 820 S Mitchell St. The property is zoned B-3, General Business District. The property is described as LOT 24 POLLARDS SUB-DIV. OF PARTS OF BLK. E & F, COBBS & MITCHELLS 2ND ADD CITY OF CADILLAC

The meeting at which the hearing will be conducted begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Cadillac Administrative Offices, 200 N. Lake Street, Cadillac, MI 49601. Questions or written comments regarding the above should be directed to the Community Development Department, 200 North Lake Street, Cadillac, MI 49601. Telephone: 231-775-0181, extension 7325. A copy of the application including a map of the area described above may be inspected at the above address during regular business hours. Written comments must be received at the Cadillac Administrative Offices no later than 5:00 P.M. of the public hearing date to be included in the public hearing record. TAKE NOTICE that a Public Hearing will be held at meeting of the City of Cadillac Planning Commission on November 24, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers, Cadillac Municipal Complex, 200 North Lake Street, Cadillac, Michigan 49601. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to consider an application for conditional rezoning of 407 E Chapin Street from R-3 to RM-1 on the condition that the subject property be used only as a single-family home or a bed and breakfast, subject to special land use approval.

The Planning Commission will receive written comments concerning the proposed conditional rezoning at Cadillac Municipal Complex, 200 North Lake Street, Cadillac, Michigan 49601. Comments should be addressed to the Community Development Department. Written comments must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on November 24, 2025.
