Paralympic gold medalist McKenzie Coan is the keynote speaker for the event. Diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (brittle bone disease) in her late teens, Coan will share her story of resilience and determination to become a three-time Paralympic gold medalist.
Harris said she is especially excited about Coan because her story powerfully embodies the theme of the conference.
"As a paralympic medalist and advocate, McKenzie brings a perspective rooted in perseverance, excellence, and redefining what success looks like. I think her message will resonate with students because it reminds them that leadership isn't about perfection; it's about preparation, mindset, and continuing to show up even when the path is challenging," Harris said. "Ultimately, I hope that students who attend this conference see themselves as capable and driven leaders who are worthy of going for the gold in whatever path they choose."
Registration is currently open and will close February 6. No late registrations will be accepted. The conference, which is free of cost, is open to student leaders, advisor and staff seeking personal development, leadership and engagement opportunities.
