City of Atlanta Mayor’s Office to Hold NRI Impact Framework Council Work Session

Join the Mayor's Office as they share an update on the NRI Impact Framework with Atlanta City Council at a Work Session. Together with community partners Neighborhood Nexus and Partnership for Southern Equity, the Mayor's Office team will walk through how the metrics were chosen that will measure results in our neighborhoods, share the draft metrics, and outline what comes next. Council will weigh in on shaping the Framework, and the public is invited be part of the process too, helping make sure every future investment delivers real results for the community.

The NRI Impact Framework is how Atlanta makes sure public dollars deliver for the neighborhoods they're meant to serve. Adopted by City Council on June 15, 2026, it sets the standard every publicly subsidized development in Atlanta must meet. It will guide where funding goes and shape planning and policy priorities in each neighborhood. Every public dollar has to show results in at least one of three areas:

  • Anti-displacement: helping residents stay in their homes and communities
  • Neighborhood stabilization: strengthening the places people already live
  • Wealth creation: building lasting economic opportunity for residents
