Dignity Health Appoints BJ Predum as Central Coast Market President

California (January 26, 2026) - Dignity Health is pleased to announce the appointment of BJ Predum as its Central Coast Market President. Effective February 2, 2026, Predum will be responsible for the strategic planning, growth, operations, financial performance, and support services across the Dignity Health Central Coast market. He will work collaboratively with hospital presidents, Dignity Health California regional leaders and CommonSpirit Health national leadership to achieve established goals.

Predum brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He joined Dignity Health in 2022 as the Hospital President of Mercy Hospitals Bakersfield and has most recently served as the Central Valley Market President since March 2024. During his tenure, his accomplishments include successfully managing multiple physician partnerships, a large-scale acquisition project, overseeing the opening of a new hospital tower, and implementing multiple strategies that enhanced financial performance through improved patient safety, experience, and quality metrics.

Prior to his time with Dignity Health, Predum held the Regional VP, Chief Operating Officer position with Ascension Michigan West Region, where he oversaw operations for an academic health system spanning 11 counties. BJ is a former United States Navy Corpsman, having attended Marine Corps Field Medical Service School at Camp Pendleton and serving at the Naval Medical Center and Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego. He holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, both from Cornerstone University. Predum is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
