On November 4, 2025, a Multnomah County Grand Jury indicted Alexander Emanuel Warren, 36, for Murder in the Second Degree with a Firearm and Felon in Possession of a Firearm related to the case. Warren is already in custody on an unrelated case.
Jaquan's family has been notified of the indictment.

UPDATE: Identity of Old Town Homicide Victim, Detectives Request Assistance
The victim from the Friday homicide has been identified as Jaquan Jamaul Jenkins, 26. His family has been notified of his death and provided the attached photograph. The family does not wish to speak to media.
The Oregon State Medical Examiner did an autopsy and determined Jenkins died from a gunshot wound and ruled his death a homicide.
Homicide detectives believe there were a number of people who witnessed the incident who did not remain on scene to speak with police. Old Town Shooting, One Man Deceased
A man is deceased after a shooting in Old Town.
On Friday, January 28, 2022 at 2:16a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to a report of someone shot at Northwest 2nd Avenue and Northwest Couch Street. When they arrived they located an adult male with a gunshot wound. The officers employed trauma first aid measures on the victim until paramedics arrived to take over medical care. The victim was transported to a hospital. Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim died.
The suspect left the scene before officers arrived and has not been located. No suspect information is being released at this time.
The Portland Police Homicide Unit detectives are responding to investigate. During the investigation, Northwest 2nd Avenue is closed between West Burnside Street and Northwest Davis Street. Northwest Couch Street is closed between Northwest 1st Avenue and Northwest 3rd Avenue.
