Disaster assistance offered to Cook County flooding victims

The Illinois REALTORS® Relief Foundation (IRRF) has announced a new disaster relief effort, this time to residents of Cook County who suffered damage in the July and August 2025 floods. The flood victims can apply for up to $500 in mortgage, rental assistance or unreimbursed losses directly related to the disasters (e.g. insurance deductible, home-related not covered by insurance) from IRRF.

Only one application is permitted per household. Get the application at: https://www.illinoisrealtors.org/about/foundations/irrf/

The deadline to apply for the Cook County flood relief Jan. 15, 2026. More information can be found on the application.

Applications for all of the current IRRF efforts can be found at: https://www.illinoisrealtors.org/about/foundations/irrf/

IRRF grants are based on availability of funds and applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served based. IRRF has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years to assist disaster victims in Illinois and other states.
