SEMO Invites Businesses, Organizations to Join Homecoming Parade

The parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. and is open to student organizations, university departments, alumni, local businesses, community organizations and individuals or families. Entries may include floats, vehicles, walking groups, bands and other parade entries.

All entries should incorporate SEMO, Redhawks, red, black and white into their decorations or theme.

Entry fees are $40 for a large float, $30 for a small float and $20 for a single vehicle or walking group. Registration and payment are due by 5 p.m. Oct. 2.

Those interested in participating can complete the 2026 Homecoming Parade application, which includes additional information about the entry process and requirements.

I WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2026 HOMECOMING PARADE

A mandatory informational meeting for parade participants will be held Sept. 30 in the University Center. Community and university entries will meet at 5:30 p.m., followed by a 6:30 p.m. meeting for SEMO's student organizations.

The parade is part of SEMO's annual Homecoming celebration, bringing students, alumni and the Cape Girardeau community together for a longstanding campus tradition.
