Gilbert, Ariz. - Park University announced a new scholarship that covers half of tuition for Gilbert residents and Gilbert-based businesses as part of a three-year extension of its lease agreement with the Town of Gilbert, continuing a partnership that has anchored the University's Heritage District campus since 2018.
"We see this agreement as an investment in the residents and people who make Gilbert work. A resident, a teacher, a firefighter or a small business owner can now earn a private university degree locally and affordably," said Paul Orscheln, Vice President of Enrollment & Student Services.
Under the Gilbert Advantage Scholarship , Park will make its high-quality academic programs, both on-site and online, more affordable to Gilbert residents and those who work for Gilbert-based companies with a scholarship that covers half of tuition. Recognizing the financial strain a college education places on students and families, the agreement prioritizes a new era of affordability, putting a private, non-profit education with a small, personalized environment within reach. Gilbert Campus offerings include bachelor's degrees in business administration, criminal justice administration, psychology, organizational communication and sport and exercise science, along with graduate programs including the Master of Business Administration, Master of Healthcare Administration, Master of Public Administration. Every degree qualifies for the Gilbert Advantage Scholarship.
"One of the most meaningful ways we can support our community is by investing in its people. Education has the power to transform lives and the Gilbert community deserves the opportunity to pursue it without financial barriers," said Gilbert's Mayor Scott Anderson. "Through this partnership, we're opening up pathways to success for the leaders of tomorrow, helping them build a brighter future right here at home."
Park has always been committed to creating programs that meet the needs of adult learners, members of the military and their families, and those already in the workforce. Park is intentional by providing accelerated eight-week terms, convenient evening and online formats and credit for prior learning that honors experience gained through careers and military service.
