‘In for Allegheny: Our Pathway Forward’ is on a fundraising fast track for bold investment in its students’ futures

Allegheny College has reached 88% of its fundraising goal at an unprecedented pace for "In for Allegheny: Our Pathway Forward" - the largest capital campaign in its history. The College has raised over $220 million in the fourth of its five-year $250 million campaign.

The "In for Allegheny" Vision

"In for Allegheny" supports the visionary goals of the College's Strategic Pathway, a comprehensive roadmap that ensures the institution and its graduates have a positive effect on their communities, the workplace, and the world around them. In addition, the velocity of the campaign has enabled Allegheny College to provide stronger financial aid packages backed by alumni scholarships much sooner than anticipated.

"I am thrilled with the campaign's traction and impressive results, including significant investments in our academic, residential, and athletic facilities," said President Ron Cole. "Even more impressive is our overachievement in fundraising for both endowed scholarships and scholarships that are immediately available for current and future Gators. We are deeply grateful to the donors for their generous support, and their unwavering commitment to help transform today's students into tomorrow's leaders."

Core to the campaign's growth is a bid for the broader institutional community to "Invite, Inspire, and Invest" in future Gators through volunteerism and monetary gifts. As of June 30, more than 11,600 alumni, parents, students, employees, and friends of the College have contributed in total.

Pushing the Needle Further

Since "In For Allegheny" was launched in 2022, 2,200 distinct volunteers have represented Allegheny at college fairs, spoken in classrooms, served as career mentors, connected students to internship opportunities, and more - with many contributing in multiple ways. About 20% of students enrolled in the past two incoming classes were referred by alumni and friends of the College, qualifying them to earn an Allegheny Referral Scholarship - $4,000 awarded over four years. Also in the last two consecutive years, 98% of Allegheny College seniors have successfully secured a meaningful job, or have been accepted to graduate school, with approximately 50% crediting alumni with helping them land their first professional position.

"The amplified volunteerism and investment into the careers of current and graduating students is not only indicative of the College's strong sense of community, but a renewed momentum to uplift its members," said Matthew Stinson, vice president for institutional advancement.

"The fundraising numbers tell a powerful success story, but this campaign has always been about more than the $250 million," Stinson added. "It's about alumni continuing to help elevate our students and the institution that shaped them. Their generosity, paired with the dedication of our faculty, staff, and coaches, is what shapes graduates who are ready to lead in their careers and communities, and who will lead meaningful lives long after they leave the classroom."
