Nighttime ramp closures on northbound U.S. 101 at Hillsdale Blvd in San Mateo

Overnight ramp closure begins 10 p.m., Monday, July 20th

San Mateo County ― Caltrans is working on installing traffic signals and lighting on the ramps located on U.S. 101 at East Hillsdale Blvd. in San Mateo starting on Monday, July 20th. To facilitate this work, crews will close the northbound U.S 101 at E. Hillsdale Blvd. off-ramp.

To ensure the safety of the crews and traveling public, the ramp closure will begin on Monday night starting at 10:00 P.M. until 7:00 A.M., the following morning.

Detour information from northbound U.S. 101 to eastbound Hillsdale Blvd.

10 p.m. - 7 a.m.

  • Drivers on northbound U.S. 101 will take the connector off-ramp to eastbound State Route 92, take the Edgewater Blvd./Mariners Island Blvd. exit, and turn onto E. Hillsdale Blvd.

Drivers should follow posted detour signs and allow extra time.

This work is part of the $45M U.S. 101- SR-92 Short-term Improvements Project that is co-sponsored by the San Mateo County Transportation Authority and City/County Association of Governments. The project will bring operational improvements, enhancement to local access, and promotion of economic vitality to the region.
