Kansas City area maintenance work for March 9-13…

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from March 9-13. All work is weather permitting.

JACKSON COUTNY

Route FF: flagging operations for pavement repair

  • between U.S. Highway 50 and Zumalt Rd. on Monday, March 9 and Tuesday, March 11, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.
  • between SW 28th St. and J.W. Cummins Rd. on Wednesday, March 12 and Thursday, March 13, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Interstate 435 at various ramps between Front St. and Eastwood Trfwy: various short-term ramp closures from Tuesday, March 10 until Friday, March 13, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for brush removal.

Interstate 70 westbound on-ramp from Beardsley: ramp closed on Wednesday, March 11 and Thursday, March 12, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for drainage work.

Interstate 29/Interstate 35 northbound on-ramp from The Paseo: ramp closed on Friday, March 13, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., for brush removal.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Missouri Highway 13 between Route OO and NW 525 Rd.: flagging operation on Monday, March 9 and Wednesday, March 11, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for ditch work.

U.S. Highway 50 eastbound and westbound between Missouri Highway 23 and Route D: intermittent lane closures scheduled from Monday, March 9 until Friday, March 13, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for brush cutting.

RAY COUNTY

Route O: flagging operations with pilot cars for drainage work (approximately 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. daily):

  • Monday, March 9 until Wednesday, March 11: between Shach Creek Rd. and Reynolds
  • Thursday, March 12 and Friday, March 13: between Shach Creek Rd. and Missouri Highway 10

SALINE COUNTY

U.S. Highway 65 northbound between Interstate 70 and Marshall: intermittent lane closures from Monday, March 9 until Wednesday, March 11, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement work.

MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, sign repairs, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
