PR No. 253 SIFC Facilitates Investment and Industrial Growth in Azad Jammu & Kashmir

The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is supporting Azad Jammu & Kashmir's efforts to attract investment, promote industrial activity and create new employment opportunities through targeted facilitation measures.

During a high-level meeting in Muzaffarabad chaired by Prime Minister AJK Iftikhar Gilani, SIFC Secretary Jameel Qureshi briefed the Prime Minister on the Easy Business initiative and the proposed Special Economic Zone in AJK.

The Easy Business initiative is aimed at facilitating young people by providing access to loans on easier terms, enabling them to establish and expand businesses. Meanwhile, the proposed Special Economic Zone is expected to facilitate investors, utilise local resources for economic development and support industrial growth and employment generation.

The meeting reflects SIFC's facilitation-focused role in supporting investment-led development by bringing together relevant stakeholders and advancing initiatives that can unlock AJK's economic potential.

With investment, industrialisation, entrepreneurship and employment at the centre of AJK's economic agenda, SIFC's engagement provides an important platform for translating these priorities into practical investment and development opportunities.
