Ginny Thomas Healthy Aging Symposium, Oct. 7
Students and employees are invited to join UAA and Idaho State University's Doctor of Pharmacy Program and the College of Health for the Ginny Thomas Healthy Aging Symposium: "What Matters to Me: Shared Decisions in Health and Healing" on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026 from 12-3 p.m. at Lucy Cuddy Hall.
This community event brings together health profession students and older adults for meaningful dialogue about shared decision-making in health.
The afternoon features keynote speaker and UAA faculty member Britteny Howell, Director of the National Resource Center for Alaska Native Elders, along with a panel of local experts: Yvette Tousignant (Alzheimer's Resource of Alaska), Steffi Kim, PhD (UAA faculty), and Karla Wright (Anchorage Aging & Disability Resource Center).
Ice cream will be provided!
Students and employees are encouraged to share this symposium with anyone who may be interested, especially older adults in the community.
