HSBC and SAS extend strategic relationship

SAS, a global leader in data and AI, today announced the extension of its relationship with HSBC, one of the world's largest banking and financial services organizations, that began in 1998.

For almost 30 years, SAS has helped HSBC leverage data and analytics to support business-critical processes across global markets.

Over the course of the relationship, SAS technologies have been used to support a range of operational, analytical and regulatory activities in parts of HSBC's organization, helping teams make better use of data and support governance and decision-making.

As organizations navigate an increasingly dynamic business, customer and regulatory environment, trusted technology partnerships play an important role in helping them adapt with confidence while maintaining resilience, transparency and governance. HSBC will combine its internal technological capabilities in collaboration with SAS to pilot its Viya platform in support of HSBC's continued commitment to innovation and excellence.

SAS brings extensive experience supporting financial institutions around the world in their adoption of data, analytics and AI. With a focus on transparency, governance and trust, SAS helps organizations modernize established environments, improve the quality and timeliness of decision-making and deliver measurable business outcomes through responsible innovation at enterprise scale.
