Ready to Transfer? East Texas A&M Opens Doors on Oct. 21

East Texas A&M University will host a Transfer Decision Day on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the Rayburn Student Center. The event is designed to help transfer students sign up to continue their education at East Texas A&M -with plenty of support to make it a seamless transition.

Students who attend will have the opportunity to:

• Receive an on-the-spot admission decision
• Explore scholarship opportunities
• Register early for Spring 2026 classes
• Meet directly with academic departments and advisors

"This event reflects East Texas A&M's commitment to ensuring that transfer students feel welcomed, supported and set up for success," said Judy Sackfield, interim vice president of Enrollment Management. "We know the transfer process can feel overwhelming, and Transfer Decision Day eliminates barriers by providing students with answers, resources and opportunities-all in one day."

The event aligns with East Texas A&M's mission to expand access to higher education and support degree completion for students across the region during National Transfer Student Week and beyond. With the university's recent rebranding (from Texas A&M University-Commerce to East Texas A&M University) and a campus master plan underway, Transfer Decision Day is one of several initiatives showcasing East Texas A&M's bold vision for the future.
