Join us for a reading with Karen Salyer McElmurray, whose new book, I Could Name God in Twelve Ways: Essays (University Press of Kentucky, 2024), follows a celebrated career in memoir, fiction and essay.
She is the author of Surrendered Child, winner of the AWP Award for Creative Nonfiction, Strange Birds in the Tree of Heaven, Motel of the Stars and the co-edited anthology Walk Till the Dogs Get Mean. Her essays have earned the Annie Dillard Prize, the Orison Anthology Award, the New Southerner Prize and multiple Best American Essays notable listings.
