Clarkston, Ga. - U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock are delivering resources to help prevent child abuse in North Georgia.
Bringing Republicans and Democrats together, Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock are delivering new Federal funding for Easter Seals North Georgia (ESNG) to fund community health workers, training, and equipment, including a transport van.
Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock are delivering $767,000 for the project through bipartisan government funding legislation that became law on February 3.
"Protecting Georgia's children remains one of my highest priorities in Congress. Senator Reverend Warnock and I are delivering this Federal funding to keep North Georgia children safe," said Sen. Ossoff.
"We need all the available resources to protect children from child abuse. I am proud to have worked alongside Senator Ossoff to bring federal funding to North Georgia to help protect young Georgians from harm," said Senator Warnock.
"We are deeply grateful to Senator Jon Ossoff, Senator Raphael Warnock, and their offices for their steadfast support of Easter Seals North Georgia's Community Health Hub: Preventing Child Abuse Through Integrated Support Services. This investment will make a meaningful difference for hundreds of families in DeKalb County by expanding access to critical education, health, and community resources. Together, we are strengthening families and ensuring that young children have the opportunity to grow up healthy, nurtured, and thriving," said Donna Davidson, President and CEO of Easterseals North Georgia.
