Statement by the High Representative on behalf of the EU on the alignment of certain countries concerning restrictive measures in view of Russia’s destabilising activities[...]

On 3 October 2025, the Council adopted Decision (CFSP) 2025/2019¹.

The Council Decision renewed the restrictive measures in view of Russia's destabilising activities until 9 October 2026 and amended the statement of reasons for one natural person in the list of natural and legal persons, entities and bodies set out in Annex I to Decision (CFSP) 2024/2643.

Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Moldova (Republic of), Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway and Ukraine align themselves with this Council Decision.

They will ensure that their national policies conform to this Council Decision.

The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.
