Senator Banks: "Well, first and foremost, this has been a highly successful operation. And this briefing today, all of the briefings that we've received in the Senate have shown us that… we've wiped out most of the ballistic missiles in Iran. We've wiped out most of their Navy. You heard Steve Witkoff, the special envoy, say just a couple of hours ago, we've wiped out almost all of their uranium enrichment. That's the primary goal of this operation. President Trump is a great commander-in-chief, one of the best that we've ever had. He's developed a strong coalition of allies in Europe and in the Middle East to assist in this operation. And it's my hope, as the president has said yesterday, that this operation lasts for a very short period of time. We accomplish what we need to and turn this country back over to its people. We need to get internet working in Iran so the people there can communicate and organize and eventually take over their country and restore their freedoms… I think we're close to getting that done."

Senator Banks: "We've wiped out their capability to achieve [a nuclear weapon] and then wiping out their ballistic missiles, their ability to continue to be the biggest state sponsor of terrorism in the world, funding all of their terrorist proxy groups. It is in America's best interest. It is America first to wipe out the IRGC, the regime in Iran, and turn it over to freedom-loving people there who want to take back their country… Secretary of War Hegseth has done a tremendous job at the Pentagon supporting our troops giving them the resources and support they need to strike out all of the military capabilities of Iran. And this has maybe been the most sophisticated and successful military operation that we've ever seen…"

Senator Banks: "We don't trust Russia or China. We're following closely what they're up to. This is the axis of evil. Iran, China and Russia…"
