Brady contributes chapter to military history handbook
Professor Lisa Brady from the Department of History recently published a chapter in the Oxford Handbook of American Military History, edited by Samuel Watson (Oxford, 2025). Her chapter, "The Environment and American Military History" (pp. 338-352), explores how the U.S. armed forces, through peacetime activities and during war, have transformed and responded to the natural environment. Her chapter also addresses areas in need of additional research.
