Johnston Hall will be closed to faculty, staff and students for at least the next week due to water damage that was identified over the weekend. A date for the building's reopening has not been determined at this time.
All classes that were located in Johnston Hall will be taught virtually for at least this week. The Office of the Provost and The Registrar and have been in direct contact with impacted faculty and students. All Diederich College of Communication faculty and staff have been asked to work from home this week as they are able.
Any faculty or staff member who needs to access Johnston Hall to be able to accomplish their work this week should reach out to Acting Dean Dr. Kati Berg, who will coordinate the request with Facilities Planning and Management.
Facilities Planning and Management is working with external partners to get the building usable again as soon as possible. They will share more information when they are able to do so. Further updates will be published in Marquette Today.
