Akron Road Closure Begins May 18
Construction for replacement of a concrete box culvert on Akron Road will begin on Monday, May 18, 2026. The culvert is located ΒΌ mile east of Illinois Route 91.
During construction, the road will be closed to all traffic between Illinois Route 91 and Potter Road. A detour will be posted on Illinois Route 91, Parks School Road, and Illinois Route 40.
Work is expected to be completed in September.
