On June 15, 2026, the Handover Ceremony of the China-aided Digital Forensic Laboratory in South Sudan was held in Juba. H.E. Amb. MA Qiang attended the event and addressed the attendees together with Hon. Mangar Buong Aluenge, Deputy Minister of Interior, and Gen. Said Chawul Lom, Inspector General of the National Police Service.
H.E. Amb. MA Qiang emphasized that improved public security management and professional skills are vital for national stability. This Laboratory Project includes not only advanced equipment but also comprehensive training programs for South Sudanese technicians and law enforcement officers.By establishing this facility, it will enhance South Sudan's capacity to combat crime, protect citizens' rights, and maintain social order using modern forensic techniques, and provide solid technical support for electoral security and contribute to the smooth conduct of the election scheduled for December 2026.
Under the witness of the attendees, Amb. MA Qiang awarded the Certificates of Completion to the 15 participants from Ministry of Interior, and jointly signed the Handover Certificate with Gen. Said Chawul Lom.
