SINGAPORE, 8 September 2026 - Carousell Autos, part of Carousell, today announced the launch of Singapore's First Consumer Auction - Carousell Car Drops, a new and financially smarter car-buying experience that gives consumers the opportunity to bid for owner-listed cars alongside professional dealers.

For the first time, everyday buyers can bid directly on cars at the same prices dealers pay. Car Drops makes this possible by opening Carousell Autos' dealer auction listings to consumer bidders, not just professional buyers.

"This new auction experience is designed as an additional consumer channel alongside Carousell Autos' existing dealer auction process, giving sellers a wider pool of potential buyers while allowing consumers to discover more pre-owned cars," said Melissa Wong, Marketing Manager, Carousell Autos. Through Carousell Car Drops, verified buyers review the listed vehicle information and bid online without an upfront viewing. If a bid is accepted by the seller, a Carousell Autos specialist arranges a joint viewing before the sale is finalised, and can help coordinate inspection, financing, insurance, ownership transfer, and any repairs or refurbishment needed to complete the purchase.

Each day, a fresh selection of eligible owner-listed cars will be made available through Carousell Car Drops, with each vehicle open for bidding for 48 hours.
