IB 25-57: Apportionment of the Groundfish Nonspecified Reserve in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Management Area

The 2025 total allowable catch (TAC) for "other flatfish" and octopuses in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands (BSAI) management area have been supplemented by amounts apportioned from the BSAI nonspecified reserve, according to Jonathan M. Kurland, Administrator, Alaska Region, NMFS. This action is being taken in accordance with 50 CFR 679.20(b)(3).

The following table summarizes the apportionments in metric tons (mt):

Fishermen are reminded that all actions and closures remain in full force and effect. This apportionment does not rescind or modify closures to directed fishing or actions prohibiting retention of a groundfish species.
