Chinese Ambassador to Dominica Chu Maoming Attends Welcome & Farewell Ceremony for the China Medical Teams

On March 27, Ambassador Chu Maoming attended the Welcome & Farewell Ceremony for the 7th and 8th Batches of the China Medical Teams. The event was graced by Hon. Cassanni Laville, Minister for Health, Wellness, and Social Services; CEO of the Dominica-China Friendship Hospital. Also in attendance were representatives from the Guangdong Health Commission, members of the 7th and 8th Batches of the China Medical Teams, representatives of Chinese enterprises， Chinese communities in Dominica , and other delegates, totaling more than 40 participants.

Ambassador Chu expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Health of Dominica and the Dominica-China Friendship Hospital for their strong support to the Chinese medical teams. He highly commended the 7th batch of the China Medical Team for their remarkable achievements and selfless dedication, warmly welcomed the 8th batch, encouraging them to uphold the team's fine tradition of striving for the health and well-being of the Dominican people.

Chu Maoming emphasized, Since 2009, Chinese medical teams have carried forward the mission relentlessly, continuously providing high-quality medical services to the local people, which fully demonstrates China's firm commitment to helping Dominica improve its medical and health system, enhance the people's health and well-being. He reaffirmed China's willingness to continue advancing mutual cooperation in the medical and healthcare fields, aiming to elevate the partnership to new heights and bring greater benefits to the people of both nations.

Minister Laville fondly reviewed the assistance work of the 7th Chinese Medical Team in Dominica and welcomed the arrival of the 8th team. He thanked the Chinese medical teams for their important contributions to upgrading Dominica's medical and technical capacity. He also looked forward to further expanding areas of medical and health cooperation between the two sides in the future to continuously improve the quality of medical and health care services in Dominica.
