DOH ALERTS PUBLIC TO ONCE UPON A FARM RECALL OF TRACTOR WHEELS ORGANIC TODDLER SOFT-BAKED BARS
Fruit-Flavored Bars Pose a Choking Hazard
26-152
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 5, 2026
HONOLULU - The Hawai'i Department of Health (DOH) Food and Drug Branch (FDB) is alerting residents to a recall issued by Once Upon a Farm for all lots and varieties of fruit-flavored Tractor Wheel Organic Toddler Soft-Baked bars. The recall was issued due to reports that the composition of the Tractor Wheel toddler snack can rapidly hydrate into a dense, dry and sticky mass upon contact with saliva and during chewing, which can result in a potential choking hazard for toddlers for ages 1.5-2.5 years old.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has warned consumers that the product poses a potentially fatal choking hazard and that it has received several reports of toddlers suffering complete airway obstruction, causing inability to breathe after consuming it.
The recalled products were distributed nationwide, including retailers like Walmart, Target, Costco and other stores in Hawaiʻi - and were also available for purchase online. This recall covers all lot codes currently available for sale, including expired products which may still be on consumers' shelves. This recall also applies to unexpired Best If Used by Dates from 10/30/2026 to 8/26/2027. The FDB is working with the local stores to ensure that the recalled product is no longer available for sale.
The recalled product information is as follows:
