Yolo County - Caltrans is advising motorists of an extended weekend closure for construction work on the Richards Boulevard on-ramp to eastbound Interstate 80 (I-80) as part of the ongoing $280 million Yolo 80 Managed Lanes Project.

Workers will rebuild the on-ramp, requiring north- and southbound motorists on Richards Boulevard to use a detour.
Motorists are reminded that the construction zone speed limit has been reduced to 55 mph on the highway.

SCHEDULE AND LOCATION:

  • The north- and southbound Richards Boulevard on-ramp to eastbound I-80 will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, June 26 through 4 a.m. Monday, July 2.

Suggested Detour:

  • From north- or southbound Richards Boulevard, take the westbound I-80 on-ramp to Old Davis Road and turn around back onto eastbound I-80.

The schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment and/or material availability, or other unexpected events.

Caltrans District 3 is responsible for maintaining and operating 4,385 lane miles in 11 Sacramento Valley and Northern Sierra counties. Caltrans reminds motorists to "Be Work Zone Alert" and slow down in construction zones for the safety of travelers and crews performing these improvements.

The department will issue construction updates on X at CaltransDist3 and on Facebook at CaltransDistrict3. For real-time traffic information, visit Caltrans QuickMap or download the QuickMap app from the App Store or Google Play.
