Summer fun returns this Memorial Day weekend as the City of Cedar Rapids officially kicks off the outdoor aquatics season with the opening of Noelridge Aquatic Center and area splash pads.
Noelridge Aquatic Center will open Saturday, May 23, through Monday, May 25, with the following schedule each day:

Lap Swim: 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m.

Open Swim: 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Following Memorial Day weekend, Noelridge Aquatic Center and Cherry Hill Aquatic Center will operate on the following schedule:
Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31

Lap Swim: 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m.

Open Swim: 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Monday, June 1, through Friday, June 5

Lap Swim: 5:20-6:15 p.m.

Open Swim: 6:30-8:30 p.m.
All outdoor pools will open for the season beginning Saturday, June 6. Pool schedules, admission information, swim lessons, passes, and updates are available at

Summer Swim Passes and punch cards are available for purchase. Season passes provide admission to Water Exercise classes and Open, Family, Adult, and daily Lap Swims as age appropriate. Passes are valid throughout the 2026 outdoor pool season. Punch cards may be used by an individual, a group, or transferred to another person for any age-appropriate public swim or water exercise class. Passes and punch cards may be purchased online, by phone, or in person at the City Services Center, Northwest Recreation Center, or at outdoor pools when open.
Splash pads located throughout Cedar Rapids parks will also open for the season on Saturday, May 23. Water is turned on daily at 9:00 a.m. and turned off at 9:00 p.m. Splash pad features are activated by pressing the button or waving a hand across the sensor located on the hydrant feature.
