Summer Forest Field Days Series Hosted by DNR, WSU Begins May 30

May 21, 2026

Forest landowners can attend sessions in Oak Harbor, Cheney, Vashon, and Toledo to learn from experts and explore available resources

The Washington State Department of Natural Resources and Washington State University Extension are hosting a series of four Forest Owner Field Day events beginning May 30 to provide forest landowners with a smorgasbord of outdoor workshops to learn about forest issues, management techniques, and resources available to help them along the way.

Field days will take place in Oak Harbor, Cheney, Vashon, and Toledo - details about each individual event can be found below.

Each field day will feature a wide range of workshops led by experts in managing wildlife habitat, forest management, invasive species, and other disciplines. Representatives from public agencies and local organizations will be on hand to answer questions and share how they can help landowners address short-term concerns while also planning for the long term.
