Federal Minister Peter Hanke has reappointed Philipp Piber as CEO of Austro Control GmbH (ACG). The new contract starts on 1 January 2027 and runs for five years. Piber, who has been CEO since 2022, will therefore continue to lead Austrian air traffic control together with Elisabeth Landrichter, who has been part of the management team since May 2024.

The position followed a public tender. Piber prevailed in an accompanied selection process.

"With Philipp Piber and Elisabeth Landrichter, a well-established and competent team remains at the helm of Austro Control. Both know the company and its employees very well and have demonstrated in recent years that they can combine maximum safety in Austrian airspace with consistent development. I look forward to further good cooperation," emphasises Federal Minister Hanke.

Piber has been with Austro Control since 2016. Before his role as CEO, he headed the Austrian aviation authority at Austro Control. Prior to that, he was employed at the Ministry of Finance and Transport. Elisabeth Landrichter has been CEO of ACG since May 2024 and was previously deputy head of the Transport Section in the Ministry.
