Senate Education Committee Advances Four Bills During Voting Meeting

HARRISBURG - Senator Lynda Schlegel Culver (R-27), chair of the Senate Education Committee, announced that the committee advanced four bills during its voting meeting held Monday, March 23, 2026.

The measures addressed curriculum transparency, student data privacy, student health needs, and recognition of missing service members and prisoners of war.

The bills approved by the committee include:

Senate Bill 128, sponsored by Senator Mastriano, would require school entities to post course curriculum information online to provide families with greater access to instructional materials and course content.

Senate Bill 378, sponsored by Senator Phillips-Hill, would establish protections related to student data privacy and the handling of student information.

Senate Bill 402, sponsored by Senator Argall, would provide for the voluntary administration of emergency anti-seizure medication to students with epilepsy in school settings.

Senate Bill 835, sponsored by Senator Pennycuick, would require the display of the POW/MIA flag at public schools in recognition of prisoners of war and those missing in action.

All four bills were advanced by the committee and now move forward for further consideration in the legislative process.
