Item Level and Attribute Scaling Adjustments
When high-level players farm gear in lower difficulty modes, item level and attribute scaling penalties will now apply within a capped range.
-
Previously, penalties increased continuously based on level difference.
-
Now, penalties now have a maximum limit, preventing further decay beyond a set threshold.
This change helps normalize gear rewards when your Paragon Level is much higher than your current difficulty helping to smooth out progression for players moving through each difficulty.
New Challenge Dungeon Affixes
Two new challenge affixes have been added to Challenge Dungeons, introducing higher-risk, higher-reward encounters.
-
Execution: Enemies are stronger, but players have a chance to instantly execute monsters.
-
Frenzied Hits: Enemies have an increased chance to critically hit. Player Critical Hit Chance is also greatly increased.
Chat Emoji and Sticker Improvements
We've streamlined the emoji and sticker experience to make chat interactions faster and more intuitive.
-
Stickers and emojis have been reorganized into clear, tabbed categories.
-
Stickers now appear in both mini-chat and chat history.
-
In most regions, players can long-press or hover over a sticker to view its name.
Class Balance Changes
Wizard
Temporal Facade
Spell Description
-
Old: Slow Time now causes you to enter a Temporal Flux for 5 seconds, causing your non-Channeled Skills to reduce the cooldown of your other skills by 1.2 seconds and increase your Movement Speed by 20%, stacking up to 60%. Slow Time's cooldown cannot be reduced by this effect.
-
New: Slow Time now causes you to enter a Temporal Flux for 9 seconds. Casting a skill conjures up to one Stabilizing Orb every 3 seconds. Collecting the orb reduces the cooldown of your other Skills by 5 seconds. Slow Time's cooldown cannot be reduced by this effect.
Developer's Note: Temporal Facade has continually offered Wizard's an excessive amount of cooldown reduction, leading to many unbalanced spam builds that were exhausting to play. Overall, this change reduces the effectiveness of the cooldown reduction mechanic and alleviates the functional spam burden. The orb collection is also intended to add more meaningful gameplay and positioning requirements for the bonus.
Binding Forces
Spell Description
-
Old: Meteor now empowers you for 6 seconds, during which you can call huge meteors to fall at target locations, dealing damage to all nearby enemies. When one of these meteors damages an enemy, the damage of the next meteor within 3 seconds is increased by 20%, up to a maximum of 60%. Using a Dash Skill will cancel the empowerment. While empowered in Battlegrounds, your field of vision will increase.
-
New: Meteor now empowers you for 6 seconds, allowing you to charge up and drop huge meteors to fall at target locations, dealing damage to all nearby enemies. When one of these meteors damages an enemy, the damage of the next meteor within 3 seconds is increased by 20%, up to a maximum of 60%. Meteor's cast range increases the longer it's charged, but using a Dash Skill will cancel the empowerment. While empowered in Battlegrounds, your field of vision will increase.
Developer's Note: This change heavily reduces Wizard's ability to spam high damage Meteors from a far distance. The charge time is approximately 2 seconds, to reach full range compared to the previous version giving Wizards a choice between consistent high damage or slower burst of damage from a distance.
Spectral Weave
Spell Description
-
Old: Ice Crystal now conjures a crystal that follows you for 5 seconds, dealing damage per second to nearby enemies. While active, your Channeled Ray Skills can be toggled on or off, and while on they automatically consume energy and refract to up to 3 nearby enemies, dealing 80% of their damage.
-
New: Ice Crystal now conjures a crystal that follows you for 5 seconds, dealing damage per second to nearby enemies. While active, your Channeled Ray Skills can be toggled on or off, and while on they automatically consume energy and refract to up to 5 nearby enemies, dealing 100% of their damage.
Developer's Note: As an additional adjustment to this essence, the attack range for the ice crystals refraction beam has had its range reduced to 4 yards.
Cycle Stone
Spell Description
-
Old: Ice Armor now protects you within a miniature blizzard for 5 seconds, reducing all damage you take by 30% while also periodically Chilling nearby enemies for 3 seconds, reducing their Attack and Movement Speed by 30%.
-
New: Ice Armor now protects you within a miniature blizzard for 5 seconds, reducing all damage you take by 30% while also periodically Chilling nearby enemies for 3 seconds, reducing their Attack and Movement Speed by 30%. Each enemy Chilled by the Blizzard also grants you a shield absorbing damage, stacking up to 5 times based on the number of enemies Chilled.
Tempest
Skein-Parter
Spell Description
-
Old: Rolling Surf now empowers your edges for 6 seconds, causing you and your Zephyrs' Primary Attack to throw water daggers that return to you, dealing damage to enemies they strike. While active, each use of a Skill or Primary Attack grants you an additional dagger for each throw, up to a maximum of 4. Additionally, your Movement Speed is increased by 35%, and you ride a wave, allowing you to Primary Attack and move at the same time, but your Movement Speed is reduced by 30% when attacking.
-
New: Rolling Surf now empowers your edges for 6 seconds, causing you and your Zephyrs' Primary Attack to throw water daggers that return to you, dealing damage to enemies they strike. Primary Attacking while moving grants you an additional dagger for each throw, up to a maximum of 4. Additionally, you ride a wave that allows you to attack and move, and each additional dagger also increases your Movement Speed by 10%.
Developer's Note: This change is focused on adjusting the method of gaining additional daggers to throw, allowing them to stack up faster, while simplifying how the Movement Speed bonus works.
Howling Anchor
Spell Description
-
Old: Crosswinds also cause enemies to Bleed, dealing damage per second for 5 seconds.
-
New: For every 8 yards moved, your next Crosswinds knocks back enemies and causes them to Bleed, dealing damage per second for 5 seconds. Each enemy cannot be knocked back more often than once every 6 seconds.
Developer's Note: To reinforce Tempest high movement playstyles and to provide them with more protection, we've adjusted this skill to provide a knockback back effect in addition to its bleed.
