The Criminal Justice Commission (CJC) team is excited to announce that it has been competitively selected to participate in the Coleridge Initiative's Prison Education Programs (PEP) Applied Data Analytics Training - a nationally recognized, cohort-based program that brings together top government and research teams from across the country to advance the use of data in public policy.
This is a significant recognition of the team's commitment to data-driven decision-making and ongoing efforts to strengthen the CJC's analytical capabilities.
What This Program Involves:
The Coleridge Initiative partners with agencies at the state and local level to build applied data skills using real administrative data. Through this training, the team will:
• Develop a robust data warehouse model tailored to the Criminal Justice Commission's needs
• Strengthen data collection, integration and quality practices
• Apply advanced analytics techniques to support evidence-based strategic planning
• Connect with a peer network of data professionals from leading agencies nationwide
Why This Matters:
As the community's needs grow in complexity, so does the importance of having accurate, timely, and actionable data at the foundation of the CJC's work. This training positions the team to make smarter, more informed decisions that will directly benefit the populations we serve - and it reinforces our commitment to accountability and continuous improvement.
The CJC is grateful for the continued leadership and support, which made this opportunity possible. We look forward to sharing what we learn and putting these new capabilities to work for the Commission and the broader community.
