Two Kansas City area state park campgrounds reopen following renovations…

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, FEB. 2, 2026 - Beginning this season, the campgrounds at Weston Bend State Park in Platte County and Lewis and Clark State Park in Buchanan County will reopen to overnight guests with new and updated services.


Weston Bend State Park will offer 15 new campsites with sewer, water and 50-amp electrical service. Lewis and Clark State Park will offer 20 upgraded campsites with sewer, water and 50-amp electrical service along with a new shower house.


Missouri State Parks will accept reservations for the new campsites for arrivals on Friday, May 1 and after. Contact the state parks' reservation call center at 877-422-6766 or visit icampmo.com to reserve a site.


The campgrounds underwent major renovations as a part of 22 revenue projects across the state. For more information on the statewide revenue bond projects visit mostateparks.com/revenue-bonds.
