The City of Redondo Beach offers a variety of payment methods for parking within the city. Eligible types of payment for patrons parking at city parking meters are coins, credit cards, or a mobile app called
ParkMobile (also accessible through a web browser). While parking in a city-owned lot without parking meters, patrons can pay using a pay station or the ParkMobile app.
*Previously, the city allowed the use of the PayByPhone app, which, as of June 30, 2025, is no longer an option and will not work as a means of payment for any parking meter or pay station located in Redondo Beach. The only mobile app currently in use within the City of Redondo Beach is ParkMobile.
Instructions on how to use the Mobile APP
-
Download the App: Download the ParkMobile app (available for both Apple and Android devices). Once the app has been downloaded, follow the prompts to create an account, add vehicle information, and add payment options.
-
Find a Parking Zone: When using the app to pay for parking, make sure to locate the ZONE NUMBER, which is located on the signage in the parking lot, or if in metered parking, will be located on the meter itself.
-
Start Parking Session: In the app, enter the zone number, enter the vehicle license plate number, select the amount of time needed, and tap "Start Parking".
-
Extend or End Session: Users can extend a parking session through the app if needed, or end it when ready to leave.
***IMPORTANT TO NOTE***
The improper input of the zone number you are currently parking at or the improper input of your vehicle's license plate number will result in parking enforcement not being able to confirm that you have paid for parking and may result in a parking citation.
Any user who receives a citation and wishes to file an appeal can find information about the process and submit their appeal through the
Appeal Citations link available on the City's website.
