LOS ANGELES-For the 12th consecutive year, ECMC Foundation is distributing funding to nonprofit organizations nominated and selected by employees of the Foundation's parent company, ECMC Group, and its affiliates. The national philanthropic organization has announced that 139 nonprofits would receive a portion of the $1,085,000 in grants.

"Through the GO! Program, our employees identify nonprofit organizations doing meaningful work across the education continuum in their local communities," said Jacob Fraire, president of ECMC Foundation. "By supporting the nonprofit organizations they nominate, we help strengthen locally driven efforts that expand educational opportunities for underserved students."

Since 2015, ECMC Foundation has funded the GO! Program (Generating Outcomes: Impacting Education in Our Communities), which provides grants to nonprofits selected by employees. Each year, team members across the ECMC Group enterprise nominate organizations in their communities to receive grants that align with the organization's mission of helping students succeed, particularly those from underserved populations.

Grant dollars fund education programs spanning from early childhood through postsecondary education.

"By helping decide where grant dollars are directed, our team members play a direct role in strengthening our connection to the communities we serve."

Including this year's GO! Program recipients, ECMC Foundation has awarded 1,123 grants for a total of $13,574,924 since 2015.
